The M State Men’s basketball team fell behind 45-23 at the half on Monday night at NDSCS in Wahpeton, however, the Spartans battled the Wildcats the rest of the way, trailing by just 10 points late in the game before the Wildcats finished with an 87-62 victory. M State overcame a 30-24 halftime deficit in Rochester on Saturday afternoon and went on to record a 67-63 MCAC Southern Division victory over the Yellowjackets. The Spartans shot 46.3% (25-54) from the field and made 38.5% (5-13) from beyond the arc. They also held a 38-32 edge on the boards.

Riverland made 53.3% (32-60) of their field goal attempts and buried 10-of-21 (47.6%) of their 3-point attempts on Saturday afternoon as they recorded an 82-58 MCAC Southern Division victory over the M State Spartans in Fergus Falls. M State shot 36.7% (22-60) and only 20.7% (6-29) from beyond the arc. The Spartans led 37-28 at the half and held on for a 69-65 victory over Minnesota North College – Rainy River. M State Men Take Down Raiders in Overtime Thriller

The M State Men’s Basketball team outscored Central Lakes Community College 15-10 in the overtime session on Tuesday night, recording a 96-91 road win over the Raiders in Brainerd. The Spartans led 46-39 at the half, but the home team rallied back with a 42-35 second half advantage to force OT.

Leng Akol sparked the M State Men's Basketball team with a 17 point performance off the bench on Saturday as the Spartans recorded an 89-68 victory over Minnesota North College-Mesabi Range, improving their season record to 3-2. Braylon Baldwin led M State with 22 points, while adding 6 rebounds, and James Hamilton contributed 16 points and 5 boards.
