M State overcame a 30-24 halftime deficit in Rochester on Saturday afternoon and went on to record a 67-63 MCAC Southern Division victory over the Yellowjackets. The Spartans shot 46.3% (25-54) from the field and made 38.5% (5-13) from beyond the arc. They also held a 38-32 edge on the boards.

James Hamilton registered a double-double (26 points, 13 rebounds) to lead the Spartans. Leng Akol was also in double figures with 15 points. He added 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Hamilton and Braylon Baldwin finished with 3 assists each. Akeem Moko pulled down 9 rebounds.
Rochester was led by Sam Hemery (18 points), Carson Brown (12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals), Brandon Wilson (9 points, 4 rebounds) and Julian Carter (8 points, 5 rebounds). The Yellowjackets shot 38% (22-58) from the floor.
M State (12-7, 2-3 MCAC South) will pay a visit to Wahpeton on Monday night to face North Dakota State College of Science.
