he M State lady Spartans were 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-18) winners over Western Technical College in a MCAC Volleyball match on Friday night in Fergus Falls. Setter Cassie Dahl distributed 30 set assists as M State featured a balanced attack at the net, led by 9 kills apiece from Faith Marion and Kendra Emery. Kaleigh Peterson added 8 kills, Kaleigh Sip had 7 and Ariana Noplos finished with 6.
Serving leaders were Maddie Ballweg (14/14, 1 ace), Marion (14/15, 2 aces), Dahl (9/9), Sip (9/13, 4 aces) and Sydney Schaefer (7/8). Defensively, Ballweg had a team high 13 digs, Dahl had 7, Marion and Madi Foss each had 6. Peterson added a pair of solo blocks and Sip had one solo block.
M State (6-10, 4-2 MCAC) will host Century College on Saturday at noon.
