Lady Spartans Struggle At Mystic Invite
The college volleyball season got underway on Friday and Saturday as the M State lady Spartans participated in the Mystic Invite at Bismarck State. M State lost the first match of the day to Miles Community College 3-0.

The college volleyball season got underway on Friday and Saturday as the M State lady Spartans participated in the Mystic Invite at Bismarck State. The Lady Spartans fell to Miles Community college 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-19) on Friday. In the match against Miles Community College, Emery and Dahl each had 7 kills to lead M State. Dahl and Schaefer contributed 9 and 7 assists, respectively. Ballweg had a team high 16 digs and Emery joined her in double digits with 11. Service leaders were Dahl (8/8, 1 ace), Sip (7/8, 1 ace) and Peterson (10/12, 1 ace).
"It was a bit of a rough weekend without starter Faith Marion," stated Head Coach Abby Crowser. "We are hoping to have her back for our home match this coming Friday against Central Lakes."
