Lady Spartans Advance to Region Title Game with Win Over Ridgewater

The M State volleyball team will play for the Region 13A title on Saturday at noon in Rochester. The Lady Spartans advanced to the championship match with a 3-0 (27-25, 25-23, 25-20) win over Ridgewater College in a semifinal match on Friday night. 

Hannah Ekse (12 kills, 8 blocks), Kassandra Algarate (6 kills, 2 blocks, 13 digs), Katie Merrick (7 kills, 3 blocks), Corina Mark (7 digs), Megan Dreger (5 kills, 1 block, 5 digs), Mia Greenman (20 digs), Sydney Hovland (3 kills, 27 set assists, 18 digs, 1 block) and Taylor Berndt (16 digs) were the leaders for M State. 

Serving leaders were Greenman (19/20, 1 ace), Ekse (14/15, 3 aces), Algarate (10/11), Berndt (8/9), Hovland (7/8) and Mark (10/12, 1 ace).
