Lady Spartans Top Concordia JV in Five Sets
The M State volleyball team took a trip down I-94 to Moorhead on Monday for a match with the Concordia JV team. The lady Spartans were able to prevail in a five set match, winning 25-21, 25-18, 21-25, 21-25, 15-12.

The Spartans were led by Hannah Ekse (12 kills, 7 blocks, 4 digs, 11/13 serving, 2 aces), Megan Dreger (11 kills, 3 blocks, 6 digs), Kassandra Algarate (19/21 serving, 7 kills, 4 blocks, 15 digs), Sydney Hovland (19/19 serving, 5 kills, 3 blocks, 34 set assists, 5 digs), Mia Greenman (29 digs, 16/18 serving, 1 ace), Taylor Berndt (14 digs, 25/25 serving, 1 ace) and Katie Merrick (5 kills, 4 blocks). Alexa Mortenson added 4 kills, 2 blocks and 3 digs, and Corina Markhad 10 digs and was 9-of-10 at the serving line.
M State will host St. Cloud Technical College on Wednesday, October 24, Western Wisconsin Tech on Friday, October 26, and Rochester Community College on Saturday, October 27 to close out their regular season schedule.
