Lady Spartans Sweep Anoka-Ramsey

The M State volleyball team traveled to Coon Rapids on Wednesday night and returned to Fergus Falls with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-8, 25-17) win over Anoka-Ramsey. 

"It was a good solid win for us tonight," said head volleyball coach Abby Crowser. "The team played well and we are hoping that this is the beginning of a successful stretch from now until the end of regular season." 

M State served 93.2% for the match, led by Lexus Noyes (16/16, 3 aces), Sydney Hovland (20/21, 2 aces), Mia Greenman (14/15), Taylor Berndt (7/8, 1 ace) and Kassandra Algarate (6/6). 

Algarate led the attack with 13 kills and added a block. Hannah Ekse had 8 kills and 2 blocks. Greenman had a team high 12 digs, Noyes had 11 and Hovland finished with 9 digs, while distributing 28 set assists. 

The lady Spartans are 12-6 and will host Ridgewater next Wednesday in their next match.
