Spartans finish 54 Hole two-day University of Jamestown Invite in 6th place

The M State Spartan Men's Golf team completed the 2nd day of the University of James town fall invite finishing in 6th place with a 3 round total of score of 979 (333-326-320) Leading the Spartans for the 2nd straight day was Charlie Fuder who shot 86-77-76 (979).

The M State Spartan Men's Golf team completed the 2nd day of the University of James town fall invite finishing in 6th place with a 3 round total of score of 979 (333-326-320) Leading the Spartans for the 2nd straight day was Charlie Fuder who shot 86-77-76 (979).

"It was a grind playing 54 holes in two days and we have some tired players. It was nice to see our men improve each day and each player had some good moments which was fun to see. Charlie was terrific in has final two rounds and Brock Thompson continues to improve. He had his best round of the season on Tuesday and his confidence should continue to grow. I feel like this team has it's best days ahead as we continue to gain experience quoted Head Golf Coach, Jason Retzlaff."

M State Spartan Golf Results:

UJ Fall Invite hosted by the University of Jamtestown. Jamestown Country Club (Par 72)- 54 hole event Sept 11-12 (36 holes on Sept 11)

Men's golf:

*Spartan men improve each day shooting 333-326-320 (979 3 day total) to finish 6^th place at the Jimmie Invite.

*Charlie Fuder led the Spartans with a 3 day total of 239 (86-77-76)

*Brock Thompson carded his lowest round of the season on Tuesday with a 79

*Concordia College won the team event with a 3 day total of 892. University of Jamestown was 2^nd (895)

*Jack Hanson of Concordia was the medalist with a 220 (76-71-73)

*Former Spartan All-American golfer Grant Inniger (Valley City State) finished 10^th individually (230)

Women's golf:

*Ellia Soydara finished in 2^nd place individually with a 3 day total of 240 (78-77-85)

*In her four fall tournaments thus far, Soydara has finished 1^st,1^st,1^st,2nd
