Six Spartan Men Reach Double Figures in 132-67 Win
The Spartan Men’s Basketball team turned in an outstanding team performance on Tuesday as they shot 58.8% (50-85) from the field, made 24-of-29 free throws, held a 53-31 rebounding advantage, assisted on 29 of 50 made field goals and had only 8 turnovers as they handed Leach Lake Tribal College a resounding 132-67 defeat on day two of the Spartan Classic in Fergus Falls.

All 5 starters and one reserve finished in double figures for the Spartans as they improved their outstanding start to 14-1. Yonis Mohamud made all 9 of his field goal attempts to finish with a game high 20 points. Foday Sheriff (19 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists) nearly had a triple-double. Javin Tindall (18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals), Mason Muir (17 points, 9 assists, 3 steals), Tyson McArthur (12 points, 5 rebounds) and Leng Akol (18 points, 3 rebounds) all scored in double digits. Dwayne Bryant and Nate Vinson added 9 and 6 points, respectively.
The Spartans open up MCAC Southern Division play on Wednesday, January 8 in Worthington against Minnesota West.
