Spartan Men Defeat Minnesota North - Itasca for 4th Straight Win
The M State Men’s Basketball team is 4-0 to start the season. On Monday night the Spartans traveled to Grand Rapids where they defeated Minnesota North College – Itasca, 72-61.
The M State Men's Basketball team is 4-0 to start the season. On Monday night the Spartans traveled to Grand Rapids where they defeated Minnesota North College – Itasca, 72-61. M State continued their domination on the boards as they held a 40-27 advantage over the Vikings.
Dwayne Bryant came off the bench to score a team high 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field and 6-7 from the free throw line. Tyson McArthur scored 13 points, Foday Sheriff had 11 points and 8 rebounds, and Javin Tindall was also in double digits with 10 points. Nate Vinson's 3 assists were a team high. The Spartans shot 45.9% (28-61) from the floor and made 12-of-17 free throws.
Itasca was led by Clayton Cook and Luke Goshadze with 20 and 19 points, respectively. Goshadze also led the Vikings with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Itasca shot 33.3% (20-60) from the floor and made 13-of-17 free throws.
The Spartan Men will host North Dakota State College of Science at 7:00pm Wednesday.
