Maack Earns MCAC Player of the Week
This week's MCAC South Defensive Player-of-the-Week honor is awarded to #4 Minnesota State Community and Technical College's Anya Maack.
The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly volleyball awards for the week of October 18-24. The weekly volleyball awards are sponsored by the U.S. Marines.
This week's MCAC South Defensive Player of the Week honor is awarded to #4 Minnesota State Community and Technical College's Anya Maack. The sophomore middle hitter from Breckenridge, MN, totaled 20 blocks (16 solo and 4 assisted) on the week with 9 of them coming in a match against Minnesota West. In addition, Maack hit .279 on the week with 34 kills.
Maack and her teammates claimed the #1 seed in the Region XIIIA Tournament, and host Century College in the first match of that tournament on Friday at 6:00 PM. The Spartans are 17-5 on the season and 15-1 in the MCAC.
