A clash of two top five volleyball teams took place on Saturday as the #4 Spartans visited #2 Rochester. The Spartans were unable to muster the upset as they fell to the host team 3-0. The Spartans dropped sets 25-22, 25-18, and 25-17. The Spartans record for the season is now 18-4.
Leading the way for the Spartans offensively was Hannah Eske with 13 kills. Katherine Mastey added 8 kills. Sydney Hovland put up 24 assists and 6 digs. Bailey Marty led the team with 17 digs and led the Spartans in aces with 3.
The Spartans will finish out the rest of the regular season schedule at home. They will host Anoka-Ramsey this Wednesday. Opening serve is scheduled for 6:30pm.
