#4 Spartans Win Five Set Thriller Over St. Cloud Tech

The #4 Spartan volleyball team took to the road to play St Cloud Tech on Wednesday. The Spartans defeated them ealier this year in back and forth match that required five sets. The second time around was no different. The Cyclones came out ready to play and took the first two sets 25-22 and 25-19. The Spartans were able to regroup and take the next two sets 25-14 and 25-21. The fifth and deciding set turned into thriller as the Spartans were able to secure the victory winning 20-18 in the final set. The win brings the Spartans record to 17-3 on the season.
Leading the way for the Spartans offensively was Katherine Mastey with tallied 20 kills. Hannah Ekse added 11 kills. Sydney Hovland served up 41 assists and 16 digs. Bailey Marty led the team with 38 digs.
The Spartans team will be in action on Friday as they travel to Lacrosse, WI to take on Western Tech.
