The #4 Spartan volleyball team returned home on Wednesday night to start the second half of division play. They were able to beat Ridgewater College for the second time this season. The Spartans controlled set one winning 24-16. Ridgewater battled back in the second taking a 22-19 lead late in the second set but the Spartan were able to battle back and take the second game 25-23. They took the third and final set 25-17 to secure the victory. The win brings the Spartans record to 15-2 on the season.
Leading the way for the Spartans offensively was Hannah Ekse as she tallied 12 kills and 3 blocks. Katherine Mastey was behind her with 11. Sydney Hovland also chipped in 31 assists and 9 digs. Bailey Marty led the team with 25 digs. Alexa Mortenson collected 5 service aces on the night.
The Spartans team will hit the road again travel to Wahpeton, ND to take on NDSCS on Friday. Opening serve is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
