Lady Wildcats in Control from Start to Finish in Win Over M State
The lady Wildcats rode a dominant 29-2 start after one quarter of play to a 95-29 victory over the lady Spartans at NDSCS in Wahpeton on Monday night. Science held a commanding 48-33 advantage on the boards, shot 44.7% (38-85) from the field, recorded 30 team steals and capitalized on 39 M State turnovers.

Five Wildcats finished in double figures, led by Maggie Wetling who registered a double-double with 21 points and 15 rebounds. Peyton Gette also had a double-double, scoring 14 points and coming up with 11 steals, while dishing out a team high 6 assists. Lolo Carlow added 15 points, Ava Boyes had a dozen and Marta Iborra contributed 11.
Terri Wind led the lady Spartans with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Kaitlyn Olson was held to 4 points, but secured 7 rebounds, and Taylor Dingwall snagged 6 boards. M State struggled offensively, hitting just 28.6% (10-35) of their field goal attempts.
The lady Spartans (7-11, 1-3 MCAC South) are back in MCAC Southern Division play on Wednesday night when they host St. Cloud Technical and Community College at 5:30pm.
