Itasca Holds Lady Spartans to 5 Fourth Quarter Points in 56-52 Victory
A 12-5 fourth quarter spurt carried Minnesota North College-Itasca to a 56-52 victory over the M State lady Spartans on Saturday afternoon in Fergus Falls. The lady Vikings shot 32.2% (19-59) from the field and M State hit 30.2% (19-63) of their shots from the field. M State won the rebounding battle, 47-43.

The lady Spartans were led by Kaylee Robinson (16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 7 steals), Kiara Goggleye (14 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals), Kaitlyn Olson (9 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists) and Taylor Dingwall (8 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals).
Taylor Whited led Itasca with a game high 21 points and Chloe Hanson registered a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Ellee Nelson also recorded double digit rebounds with 10.
M State (3-6) will host Minnesota North College – Rainy River on Friday at 5:30pm.
Itasca improved to 5-9 with the win.
