The M State Lady Spartans struggled from the field, making just 27% (16-59) of their field goal attempts in a 79-52 loss to Central Lakes on Friday night in Fergus Falls.
Sydney Hovland scored 15 points and Megan Dreger added 12 to lead M State. Kassandra Algarate and Olivia Winfrey added eight points each and Alexa Mortenson had a team high 10 rebounds.
Central Lakes placed two players in double figures, Maggie Fellerman with 14 and Naomi Lane with a dozen. Three players had 9 points for the Raiders, Kelsie White, Liz Anderson and Sam Schimpp. Lane completed her double-double with 11 rebounds. White dished out 6 assists and Schimpp distributed five. Central Lakes hit 46% (31-67) of their shots and held a 50-39 edge on the boards.
M State will travel to Idaho for a pair of games against Treasure Valley and the College of Southern Idaho on Friday and Saturday.
