Spartans in the Lead After Day One of Region Golf Tourney

The M State Spartans are in the lead after day one of the MCAC/Region XXIII Golf Championship being played at The Legend in Biwabik.
The Spartans fired a score of 308 and have a seven shot lead over Southwest Tech who shot 315.
Wyatt Blomseth of M State had the low round of the day with a 75. Carter Justesen and Blake Bloedorn each shot rounds of 76.
Southwest Tech's Trey Stendalen shot a 76 and Mesabi's Sam Albrecht shot a 77.
"It was a very cold day as we teed off with39 degree temperatures this morning," commented Head Coach Jason Retzlaff of M State.
