*Spartans (Blue) finish 2nd with a team score of 309. The Spartan Gold team finished 3rd with a team score of 332.
*Valley City State University wins with a score of 292.
*Wyatt Blomseth led the Spartans with a 73, his lowest round of the season.
*Austin Miller shot his lowest round of the year with a 76.
*8 of the 9 Spartan players shot 80 or lower.
*Casey Julson of Valley City State was the medalist with a 69.

"I was happy with our play today and we just went up against a Valley City team that played outstanding golf today. There were plenty of positives as eight of our nine players shot 80 or lower. Wyatt Blomseth had a great round today to lead us and Austin Miller had his best round as a Spartan. We have been building towards the MCAC/Region Championships all Fall and I feel like our play will build up nicely to Monday."
The Spartans will next compete at the MCAC/Region XIII Championships on Monday and Tuesday at The Legend at Giant's Ridge in Biwabik.
