Bio
Brian Schwantz is in his first year as Assistant Coach of the Spartan Men’s Basketball Team. Brian has spent the past 31 years as a teacher and assistant coach in Perham, MN, and two years prior to that in Worthington, MN.
Brian’s coaching has been a key part of a successful Perham Boys Basketball program that has been to the state tournament 5 times with a state championship in 2011. Brian has also been named Class
AA State Assistant Coach of the Year two different times while at Perham. This is his 29th year of coaching with Head Coach Dave Cresap.
Brian is an Alumni of Fergus Falls Community College where he played football for 2 years. He went on to play 2 more years at Moorhead State. Brian earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s of Education from the University of St. Thomas.
Brian is currently teaching 6th Grade math in Perham and lives near Ottertail with his wife Cami.
