M State Men Win in Rochester, Improve to 18-2
The M State Men’s Basketball team traveled to Rochester on Saturday to take on the Yellowjackets in a MCAC Southern Division tilt. M State led 26-25 at the half and pulled away in the second half for a 67-57 victory, improving their season record to 18-2 and their MCAC Southern Division mark to 4-1.

Mason Muir (21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals), Foday Sheriff (18 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 blocks) and Tyson McArthur (11 points, 8 rebounds) all reached double figures to lead M State. The Spartans shot 47.4% (27-57) from the field.
Rochester made 40.4% (23-57) of their field goal attempts. They were led by Jamison Lien (24 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals), Laden Nerison (13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals) and Sam Jennings (13 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals). Cole Johnson added 5 rebounds, 5 assists and a pair of steals.
Rochester is now 12-8 overall and 1-4 in the MCAC South.
M State has a home game against St. Cloud on Wednesday night.
