Spartan Men Break the Century Mark in Win Over Western Tech
The M State Men’s Basketball team broke the century mark in Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon as they recorded a 101-73 victory over the Western Technical College Cavaliers.
The M State Men's Basketball team broke the century mark in Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon as they recorded a 101-73 victory over the Western Technical College Cavaliers. The Spartans led 50-40 at the half and shot 55.8% (43-77) of their field goal attempts and made 10-of-19 (52.6%) 3-pointers. The Spartans had 21 assisted baskets in the game.
Mikele Kambalo made 5-of-9 3's and led all scorers with 29 points. He also had 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Belind Alemadi added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists, Tyson McArthur finished with 17 points, 4 boards and 4 assists and Javin Tindall registered a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Khamani Steckler contributed 12 points and 8 rebounds and Diamond McGill had 8 points and 6 rebounds.
Three Cavaliers were in double figures, led by Cullen Rauls with 16. He also had 5 steals. Evan Mathews had 15 points and 4 assists, and Austin Grams finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Western Tech hit 33.8% (25-74) of their shots from the field and made 10-of-34 (29.4%) 3-pointers.
M State (10-7, 2-2 MCAC South) has a conference home game Wednesday at 7:30pm against Ridgewater College from Willmar and then will travel to Rochester on Saturday.
