Spartan Men Come up Short in 2-Point Ballgame with Anoka-Ramsey
The Anoka-Ramsey Mens’ Basketball team improved their season record to 9-7 and remained unbeaten in the MCAC South (3-0) with a 76-74 victory over the M State Spartans on Wednesday night in Coon Rapids.

Anoka-Ramsey held a 37-36 edge at halftime and won the second half, 39-38. The Spartans let a 12 point second half lead slip away. With the loss, M State goes to 9-7 overall and 1-2 in MCAC Southern Division play.
M State shot the ball well, hitting 44% (29-66) of their overall field goal attempts and 8-of-17 (47%) 3's, and holding a commanding 51-32 advantage on the boards, however, Anoka-Ramsey was able to benefit for the Spartans 22 turnovers.
Javin Tindal registered a double-double (12 points, 14 rebounds) for the Spartans. Mikele Kambalo and Belind Alemadi led the attack with 23 and 21 points, respectively. Kambalo added 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals, while Alemadi had 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Tyson McArthur (7 points, 7 rebounds) and Diamond McGill (6 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assists) also contributed. M State was playing without Mason Muir, who is out with a broken finger.
For the Rams, three players came off the bench to score double figures, led by 14 from Ibrahim El-Amin, who also had 6 rebounds and 4 assists. J'son Saeed'El had 13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals. Derrick Love finished with 12 points and 4 rebounds, Dominick Love had 11 points and 3 boards, and Chaz Franklin chipped in with 10 points.
Anoka-Ramsey made 42% (31-74) of their shots from the floor and hit 8-of-25 (32%) 3's. They took good care of the ball as they only had 11 turnovers.
M State will travel to Wisconsin on Saturday to face Western Technical College.
