M State Men Defeat Minnesota West for 3rd Straight Win
The M State Men’s basketball team recorded their third straight win on Wednesday as they built a 46-20 halftime lead and went on to defeat Minnesota West by the score of 83-63 in Worthington.
The M State Men's basketball team recorded their third straight win on Wednesday as they built a 46-20 halftime lead and went on to defeat Minnesota West by the score of 83-63 in Worthington. M State shot 51% (33-65) from the field and held the Bluejays to 36.4% (20-55) shooting on the night. The Spartans forced 16 turnovers and took excellent care of the basketball, turning it over only 10 times.
Tyson McArthur buried 14-of-19 field goal attempts and led M State with 30 points, while adding 6 rebounds and a pair of assists. Mikele Kambalo was 7-for-9 from the field and had 20 points, 6 boards, 3 assists and 3 steals. Javin Tindall came through with a double-double (11 points, 13 rebounds) and Mason Muir finished with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Belind Alemadi distributed 5 assists.
M State (9-5, 1-0 MCAC South) will host Riverland at 3:00pm Saturday.
