The M State Men's Basketball team won their Spartan Classic Tournament with an 83-64 win over Minnesota North College-Itasca on Friday.
M State opened up a 44-22 halftime lead on Friday and maintained that lead throughout the second half. All five starters were in double figures for the Spartans with Javin Tindall (16 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals) registering a double-double. Tyson McArthur (21 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists), Mikele Kambalo (19 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists), Mason Muir (14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals) and Belind Alemadi (13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals) all put up good numbers in the win.
M State shot 45% (32-71) for the night and held a 43-27 edge on the boards. They also took very good care of the ball with only 10 turnovers, and assisted on 20 of their 32 made baskets.
