The M State Men’s Basketball team opened their season with a road game against Mayville State JV team on Saturday. The Spartans came out on top, 71-56, making a winner of Head Coach Dave Cresap in his collegiate coaching debut.

The M State Men's Basketball team opened their season with a road game against Mayville State JV team on Saturday. The Spartans came out on top, 71-56, making a winner of Head Coach Dave Cresap in his collegiate coaching debut.
"Spartans were ready to play and came out and had a great opening ten minutes," said Coach Cresap. "A little lull for about 5 minutes in first half but found a way to get through it. Second half we came out and did everything we needed to do to come away with a nice 71-56 win. Need to rebound much better and be more secure with the ball as we enter our next games. Great team win!"
