Spartan Rally Comes Up Short in St. Cloud
The M State Men’s basketball team rallied from a 36-25 halftime deficit to outscore St. Cloud 41-32 over the final twenty minutes, coming up just two points short in a 68-66 loss at the Whitney Center in St. Cloud on Wednesday night.

Renell Edwards registered a double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds) to lead the Spartans. He also had 3 assists and 2 steals. Nic Pearson came close to a double-double with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Langston Davis finished with 16 points and 6 boards.
The Spartans shot 38.6% (22-57) from the floor and made just 7-of-29 (24%) 3-point shots. They won the battle of the boards, 43-36.
The Cyclones were led by 21 points from London Williams and 12 each from Semaj Threats and Manni Ukutegbe. Ukutegbe completed a double-double with 13 rebounds.
M State will play their final game of the season on Saturday at 3:00pm against Ridgewater in Willmar.
