Engelmeyer Named MCAC South Player of the Week

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its athlete-of-the-week awards for the week of November 29 - December 5.  The weekly athlete-of-the-week awards are sponsored by the U.S. Marines.

Averaging nearly a point per minute, Brett Engelmeyer, freshman guard for Minnesota State - Fergus Falls, hit 20 of 47 shots, and scored 61 points for the Spartans. He earns this week's MCAC South Men's Basketball Player of the Week honor.  Hailing from Melrose, MN, Engelmeyer also had 12 rebounds, 10 assists, 9 steals, and a block in his team's three wins last week. 

The Spartans are now 5-2, and they take the court again on Friday at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College.
