Spartans Drop Two at Anoka-Ramsey
Anoka-Ramsey took two games from M State on Friday, winning 11-0 and 8-2. The Rams scored 9 runs on six hits in the bottom of the third inning to break open the first game. They used a six-run second inning to take a 6-1 lead in game two and never looked back. The two teams will play two more games to end the regular season on Saturday in Fergus Falls.

Craig Fiero (5IP, 6K, 2BB, 1H, 0R) was the winning pitcher in game one. The Rams had 10 hits in the game, led by Gabe Ottmar (3-3, 2B, 3RBI). Cole Swift and Logan Adamski each collected a pair of hits for the home team. Carson Bussell went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead the Spartans.
Charles Breyer (3IP, 3H, 1R, 3K, 4BB) earned the win on the mound in game two and Carson Bevill (5IP, 8R, 1ER, 10H, 3K, 2BB) took the loss. Brett Laurin, Dalton Heater, Tyson Barthel, Cayden Doven, Brendon Kent, and Carson Bussell each contributed a hit for M State, while Barthel and Cody Lofswold drove in the runs. Hitting leaders for Anoka-Ramsey were Swift, Ottmar and Brett Learch with two apiece. The Rams played errorless ball in the field.
