The M State Spartans defeated the Anoka-Ramsey Rams 8-0 in the first of two games on Thursday afternoon. Carter Spangler (6IP, 7H, 0R, 1BB, 2K) and Ben Monson (1IP, 1K) combined on the 7-hit shutout in the opener, and the Spartans collected 12 hits in game two with five players driving in runs. Logan Pulju (2-4, 2B, 2RBI, R), Eoghan Fisher (3-4, 2B, R), Evan Lunde (1-3, 2B, R), Brett Laurin (2-4, RBI), Connor Davis (1-3, BB, RBI, 3R), Isaac Hamann (1-2, BB, RBI) and Bryce Krueger (1-4, RBI) all contributed at the plate in game one.
