In the nightcap, the Spartans took control early and went on to win by the score of 8-2.  Hamann led the Spartans to the game two victory as he pitched 5 innings, allowing 5 hits and one run while striking out 8 batters in earning the victory.  Hamann also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and a run scored.  Logan Pulju was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, three runs batted in and two runs scored.  Tyson Barthel drove in four runs, going 3-for-4 with a double.  Bryce Kruger had 3 hits, including a double, and also drove in a run.  M State has another road double header on Saturday in Alexandria, before turning around and hosting two games with Alex on Sunday in Fergus Falls.
