Lady Spartans Sweep Anoka Ramsey

The M State Spartans concluded a very successful week won the volleyball court with a 3-0 (25-10, 25-7, 25-8) victory over Anoka-Ramsey on Friday night in Fergus Falls.

"I'm very proud of how the team performed this week," said head volleyball coach Abby Crowser. "First travelling down to St. Cloud and beating the #5 ranked team in the nation in 3 sets and then winning against Anoka-Ramsey in 3 sets on Friday just felt good. Even though the two teams we played this week were very different, our side of the net stayed the same and we consistently played at a high level."

The Spartans served 94.4% for the match with 15 ace serves. Serving leaders were Kassandra Algarate (15/15, 2 aces), Hannah Ekse (15/16, 2 aces), Lexus Noyes (13/15, 5 aces), Sydney Hovland (8/8, 2 aces) and Taylor Berndt (7/7, 2 aces).

Ekse and Katie Merrick led in kills with 8 and 7, respectively, and Hovland distributed 21 assists. Mia Greenman had a team high 10 digs and Corina Mark added six.
