Abby Crowser enters her fourth year as Head Coach of the M State volleyball team having lost four players to graduation from a team that was ranked as high as number four in the nation and advanced to the Region XIII Tournament. The Spartans return three starters and have a strong recruiting class on campus as they prepare for the 2018 season. Morgan Aasness and Krista Shaikoski will once again assist Crowser.
Freshmen Hannah Ekse (Middle Hitter), Sydney Hovland (Setter/Right Side Hitter), Taylor Berndt (Outside Hitter), Megan Dreger (Middle Hitter), Corina Mark (Defensive Specialist) and McKenna Peterson (Setter) will all contribute.
"We have a big incoming class of freshmen with lots of local area talent," said Crowser. "Several freshmen possess versatility, so being able to take advantage of that will be key. Or returning sphomores will do a great job of helping the freshmen adjust to the college level quickly."
Rochester and St. Cloud are Crowser's picks as the top teams in the MCAC Southern Division.
