Lady Spartans Win 3 of 4 in MCAC Crossover Tournament

 

In the match against Central Lakes the leaders were Claire Mathiesen (26 digs, 7/8 serving), Kassandra Algarate (14 digs, 9 kills, 8/9 serving), Lindsey Dierks (9 kills, 19 digs, 19/19 serving, 1 ace serve), Mackenzie Swanson (9 kills, 2 blocks), Lexus Noyes (12 digs, 12/12 serving), and Sheyenne Gunderson (33 set assists, 12 digs, 17/17 serving, 2 ace serves). Katie Merrick was 13-for-14 from the serving line. 

In the win over Mesabi Range M State was led by Gunderson (33 set assists, 8 digs, 19/19 serving, 2 ace serves), Mathiesen (18 digs), Algarate (17 digs, 10 kills, 26/28 serving, 3 ace serves), Dierks (18 digs, 12 kills, 15/16 serving) and Swanson (8 kills, 2 blocks). Merrick was a perfect 12-for-12 serving. 

The win over Northland was led by Mathiesen (17 digs, 13/13 serving), Noyes (10 digs, 16/16 serving), Dierks (9 kills, 9 digs, 18/19 serving), Algarate (9 kills, 6 digs), Merrick (6 kills) and Gunderson (27 set assists, 7 digs, 8/9 serving). 

Leaders in the five set match with Hibbing were Gunderson (46 set assists, 12 digs, 23/24 serving, 2 ace serves), Dierks (22 digs, 20 kills, 27/28 serving, 3 ace serves), Mathiesen (27 digs, 15/15 serving, 2 ace serves), Algarate (12 digs, 12 kills, 11/13 serving), Merrick (8 kills, 7 digs, 10/12 serving, 1 ace serve) and Noyes (16/16 serving, 11 digs).
