M State Loses Five Set Match to Rochester

M State had a tremendous day on the serving line, missing only one serve in 95 attempts for 98.9% efficiency, however, they only served up one ace in the five set.  Serving leaders were Claire Mathiesen (22/22, 14 serving points), Sheyenne Gunderson (20/20, 13 serving points), Lindsey Dierks (16/16, 10 serving points), Kassandra Algarate (14/14, 1 ace) and Lexus Noyes (12/12).

Dierks led the attack with 16 kills and Algarate added 11 kills.  Ashlyn Hendrickson and Katie Merrick added eight kills each.

Defensively, Mathiesen had 39 digs, Algarate finished with 26 and Dierks added 20 digs.  Gunderson had 11 digs and 41 set assists.

M State (6-6) will travel to Willmar to face Ridgewater on Wednesday night before coming home to play a Friday night match against Minnesota West and a noon Saturday match against Riverland.
