The M State volleyball team traveled to Coon Rapids on Wednesday night and swept the Anoka-Ramsey Golden Rams 25-14, 25-11, 25-14 in MCAC Southern Division play.
"It took a little while for us to get going, but once we found our groove, we were able to maintain it the rest of the match," said head volleyball coach Abby Crowser. "I was extremely happy with the fact that we were able to keep Anoka under 15 points each set and also give everyone a chance to play. It's a good feeling that no matter who we put in, we can play at a high level."
Leaders for M State were Sheyenne Gunderson (20 set assists, 7 digs, 2 ace serves), Lindsey Dierks (8 kills, 15 digs, 2 ace serves), Mackenzie Swanson (8 kills, 7 blocks), Kassandra Algarate (6 kills, 6 digs, 16/18 serving, 3 ace serves) and Claire Mathiesen (11 digs, 12/12 serving, 2 ace serves).
M State (5-4) is off until next Wednesday when they travel to St. Cloud Technical College to face the Cyclones.
