Lady Spartans fall to the Concordia JV team 85-59

"We got into foul trouble early and struggled to keep up with the depth that Concordia had," said M State Head Coach Janice Hendrickson.  "We did a much better job taking care of the ball and attacking in our offense.  We have to do better at controlling the rebounding game, limiting their second chance opportunities.  I have to give Concordia credit for their ability to shoot from the outside."

The Cobbers made 10-of-22 (45%) 3-point field goals and shot 46% (29/63) from the field overall.  They were also 17-of-20 on the free throw line and held a 49-27 edge on the boards.

M State hit 36% (24/65) of their shots, but made only 1-of-13 (7%) from 3-point range.  They were 10-of-13 (76%) from the foul line.

Taylin Schleicher scored 23 points of 10-of-18 shooting, grabbed 5 rebounds and came up with 3 steals.  Macky Warne added 11 points and 5 rebounds, Ashlee Rimpila had 11 points of 5-of-9 shooting and Sam Dahlgren dished out six assists.

The lady Spartans will travel to Grand Rapids on Tuesday to face Itasca Community College.
