Spartans Head Coach Jason Retzlaff Quote:

"We have mixed feeling about the day as we played solid golf but let some opportunities slip by that could have made it a great round. I'm proud of our guys as they are competing very hard and showing what a great team they are at the national level.  The keys to put up a special round will be to limit some big numbers and do a better job of taking advantage of the par 5's.  We feel we have been very close to putting it all together and hopefully that can happen on Thursday and Friday."

"Chris Swenson's ball striking was superb today.  He also hit a lot of good putts that didn't quite go in which could have made his round even lower. He did a great job of leading our team today."

The Spartans will tee off at 9AM (Eastern Standard Time) on Thursday for Round 3.
