The Spartans hosted NJCAA Division I foe NDSCS on Monday night. The Spartans were looking to extend their winning streak to three. The first half was all Wildcats as the Spartans struggled on offense. NDSCS went into half time leading 52-25. The second half was much better for the Spartans as they battled with the Wildcats but the first half deficit was to much as they fell by a final score of 84-53 The loss drops the Spartans to 4-5.
The Spartans shot 26% from the field and 24% from behind the arc. Two Spartans were able to reach double digits in scoring. James Hobson led the team with 17 points followed by Alend Alemadi with 16 points. Christian Norby each collected a season high 10 rebounds. Alemadi added three steals.
The Spartans will travel to Brainerd, MN this Friday to take on Central Lakes. The Spartans beat CLC early this year 101-78. Opening tip is set for 7:30pm
