Chalk up win number four in a row for the M State Men's Basketball team on Friday night as they recorded a 61-58 win over the Northland Pioneers in Thief River Falls.
"This was a very physical game and both teams went back and forth with small runs throughout the game," noted M State Head Coach Shawn Sorenson. "Our guys found a way to play together and finish. They gave us a total team effort."
M State shot 40% (20/50) from the field and Northland made 35% (21-60) of their field goal attempts. The Pioneers held a 41-33 edge on the boards.
M State was led by Austin Miller (16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists), Alend Alemadi with 13 and Martin Lafond with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
Leaders for Northland were Ibrahim Nasir (19 points), Christian Horton (14 points, 12 rebounds) and Bakri Gubara (12 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists).
