Spartan Men End Pre-Christmas Schedule with Loss to Rainy River

"We played them tough in stretches, but in the end we ran out of gas," commented Spartan Head Coach Shawn Sorenson.  "They play a very aggressive and physical game on both ends of the floor and the fatigue hurt us most in the ball control battle as we had 20 turnovers and they only had eight."

Austin Miller scored a game high 28 points and Chris Tungseth had a double double with eleven points and ten rebounds.

Anthony Mera led the Voyageurs with 19 points and Davarius Wright added 15.

M State (4-7) is off until January 5 and 6 when they will host Mesabi Range and Itasca in the Spartan Classic.
