The M State Men's Basketball team suffered another tough loss on Tuesday night when the Northland Pioneers nailed a 12-foot jumper, set up by an offensive rebound, at the buzzer in overtime to take a 79-78 win in Fergus Falls.
The Spartans led 37-34 at the half and the game was tied at 68-68 at the end of regulation.
"Another tough loss for us," said M State Head Coach Shawn Sorenson. "We have areas of our team that need improvement if we want to start winning games like this and we will get back to work as we prepare for two more tough games this weekend."
Kameron Parker scored 16 points to lead five Pioneers in double figures.
The Spartans (3-6) will face Central Lakes on Friday night and Rainy River on Saturday afternoon at the Central Lakes Winter Invitational in Brainerd.
