Spartans Fall to CLC

The M State Men's Basketball team built a 37-27 halftime lead in Brainerd on Friday night, however, the Spartans couldn't hold that advantage as they wound up on the short end of a 68-65 final score.

"Another tough finish for us as we played well enough on defense to win but couldn't handle the pressure on offense," reported Head Coach Shawn Sorenson of M State.  "Credit goes to Central Lakes.  They were the tougher team down the stretch, mentally and physically.  Plenty that our young, inexperienced players can learn from this game."

Austin Miller dropped in 25 points to lead the Spartans.  He was joined in double digits by Samuel Priem who had 14 points.  Chris Tungseth added 9 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

For Central Lakes, Keonte' Jenkins had 23 points and Al-Jureaul Ray ended up with 19.
