Miller Leads Spartans against Hibbing

The M State Men's Basketball team shot 53% from the field and placed four players in double figures as they won their second straight game on Friday night, beating Hibbing by the score of 96-70.

"Another great all-around effort from the entire team on both ends of the floor," stated M State Head Coach Shawn Sorenson.  "Defense was the key tonight as we were able to get stops that led to some easy fastbreak points.  Ball control was another important factor as we only had eight turnovers."

Austin Miller led M State with 29 points.  He was joined in double digits by Joel Harris III (19), Chris Tungseth (18) and Isaiah Lemke (12).

Daniel Warren and Adeniyi Ayeni led Hibbing with 17 and 16 points, respectively.

The Spartans will host Rainy River at three o'clock Saturday afternoon.
