Spartans Fall to NDSCS

The M State Men's basketball team lost to NDSCS 86-62 on Wednesday night in Fergus Falls.  The Wildcats hit 46% of their shots from the field and held the Spartans to 32% shooting on the night.

"Strong defensive pressure caused problems for our guys all game long and we never got a chacne to feel comfortable with our half-court offense," said Head Coach Shawn Sorenson.  "The biggest difference in the game was rebounding with a 45-22 margin in favor of the Wildcats."

Melvin Newbern Jr. led the Wildcats with 18 points.  Steven Lipp and Sam Baker added 16 points each and Marquis Holloman contributed a dozen.

M State was led by Demetrius Roberts with 15 points and Austin Miller with 13.  Aaron Solberg and Mitch Huddleston added 11 points each.

The Spartans will travel to Thief River Falls for a game against Northland Community College on Wednesday, November 15.
