M-State took an early lead in the first inning on a Travis Krueger sac fly that scored one run. Krueger and Andrew Dahl each drove in one run for the Spartans, who didn't commit a single error in the field. Jakob Bradsteen had the most chances in the field with six but the true story of the game was Tyler Anderson. Tyler threw seven innings, gave up two hits, on walk and zero runs to earn the shutout as M-State defeated Northland CC 2-0 in the first game of the doubleheader.
In the second game of the doubleheader M-State fell behind early when Northland CC scored on an error that scored two runs and a single in the first inning scoring one run. Brandon Hill took the loss for M-State Spartans despite tossing six innings, surrendering one earned run, on seven hits, one strikeout, and no walking. Hill also led the Spartans with two rbi's and two hits(rbi single and triple) in three at bats. Despite Hill's big say the Spartans couldn't come all the way back, eventually falling 4-3 to Northland CC to end the regular season.
