M State Fergus Falls Sophomore Guard Isaiah Lemke has decided to continue his college basketball career and has committed to the University of Minnesota Morris Cougars. This past season he averaged 7 Points, 5 Assists (1st), 5 Rebounds, and 1.2 (1st) Steals per game while playing 37 minutes (1st) per game. This is the second year in a row that he has led the Spartans in Assists, Steals, and Minutes played per game.
"Isaiah is a great student-athlete who provides positive leadership in the
classroom and on the court." said Spartans Head Coach Shawn Sorenson. "He is a team-first floor general who is always looking to make his teammates better with his great decision making skills and has the ability to defend multiple positions at a high level. This will be a great fit for him and the U of MN Morris Basketball program."
"I've really enjoyed playing sports in the Fergus Falls community my whole life." Isaiah said. "Their support of Otter and Spartan Basketball is second to none and I'm forever grateful to have grown up here and for being a part of this community. With that said, I'm very excited to continue my basketball career for Coach Paul Grove at U of MN Morris. I'll be working towards earning a degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Coaching."
